Zayn Malik is engaged to Perrie Edwards!

The One Direction heartthrob and the Little Mix singer are set to wed, her mother has confirmed in a radio interview.

“It’s true. They got engaged on Sunday, and it was absolutely lovely,” she told Real Radio (listen below). “It’s wonderful, because Zayn is absolutely gorgeous, and Perrie loves him to pieces, and it’s just perfect. They just get on so well together.”

Edwards sported an engagement ring at Tuesday’s red carpet premiere of One Direction: This Is Us in London (see below).

Zayn Malik Breaks Down in Tears During One Direction Hospital Visit (VIDEO)

One Direction’s Zayn Malik couldn’t hold back his tears when he and his band mates recently visited an African hospital.

The group took a trip to Accra, Ghana in support of Comic Relief, which raises money for the disadvantaged, and their annual Red Nose Day event.

During the visit, Malik — along with Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan — spent time with babies whose bodies have been ravaged by diseases that could have been prevented by vaccines, if only their families could afford them.

“It’s so hard,” Malik said while breaking down outside hospital. “I’ve never seen anything, never experienced anything like this in my life.”
