Will Ferrell appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” as Ron Burgundy, and did a duet with Christopher Cross on the latter’s hit “Ride Like The Wind.”

The star, who was dressed in a captain’s hat and a fur-lined, long leather coat, offered back-up vocals and comedic commentary throughout the performance.

Ferrell has been doing a blitz of publicity for Anchorman 2, including anchoring the evening news in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Will Ferrell appeared as Ron Burgundy on Wednesday’s “Conan,” where he showed his support for crack-smoking Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.

Burgundy told the host, “My dear, dear, dear friend Mayor Rob Ford of Toronto is running for re-election. I hold him in highest regard, he is THE BEST. Outstanding individual.”

The Anchorman said, “He’s asked me to sing the campaign theme song for his re-election.”

Burgundy then proceeded to perform Loverboy’s “Working for the Weekend.”
