Vin Diesel is explaining the secret to his chart-topping Facebook popularity.

The Fast & Furious star has 41 million likes on the social networking site, and was even the number 1 fan page in the world at one point.

“What Facebook didn’t realize is something very big was about to happen, and that was — for the first time in history, and it’s kind of a fluke they didn’t see this coming — when I jumped on that page in April 2009, I started talking to people. In the realest ways,” Diesel tells Entertainment Weekly.

He explains, “Imagine if you could’ve been a Facebook friend to Marlon Brando, or whoever your role models are. Imagine, if you were able to Facebook Elvis, and talk to him, and hear from him without the Hollywood of it all. That was the Fast & Furious experience.”

“So, when I had started my page, the only person that had a million fans was Barack Obama. Because it was first-quarter 2009, and he’d just got elected as President, because of social media,” says the actor. “So, when I started talking to the fans, I became the No. 1 page in the world. Over Coca-Cola, over huge companies. And it was only because I said: ‘Hi, guys, I love you.’

Diesel reveals the Facebook team has even asked him “to come up to their office to explain what the f**k I was doing, and why I had so many fans.”

“Facebook really owes me billions of dollars,” he jokes. “But whatever.”

Vin Diesel & Paul Walker ‘Hate Each Other,’ Fighting on Fast and Furious 6 Set?

Truth rating: 0

9:45 am, December 27th, 2012

(GettyImages.com)

“Tensions are high on the set of Fast and Furious 6, as Vin Diesel and Paul Walker have stopped speaking,” claims Star.

A so-called “source” for the mag says, “They absolutely hate each other — and they always have.”

“They are like two 14-year-old girls, and it’s become the angriest film set in history,” alleges the Star insider.

What’s the problem?

According to the tab’s source, “Paul thinks Vin wants to upstage him. Vin is famous, while Paul has struggled to maintain any kind of high profile.”

“It’s almost worth having the writers put in a scene where they beat the hell out of each other, so they can get it out of their systems!” suggests the Star spy.

Actually, it’s starting to feel like a lot of the tabloid’s stories are written to maximize conflict.

Because there’s NO basis for this report.

One source connected to the Fast and Furious 6 production tells Gossip Cop, “Vin and Paul are great friends.”

A second insider tells us flatly that Star’s story is “not true.”
