The Fast & Furious star took to Facebook on Thursday to reflect on his personal and professional relationships with Walker, and mourn their end.

“There was always moments of child-like laughter…,” Diesel captioned a photo of himself and Walker in a light-hearted moment.

The actor went on, “We had accomplished so much by 2013…”

“The complexities of Brotherhood, and the painful void… of it’s absence,” added Diesel.

Diesel has occasionally been using Facebook to express his grief over Walker’s shocking death, and also announced on his page that the next installment of their film franchise will hit theaters in April of 2015.

Fast & Furious 7 will be released in theaters on April 10 of 2015, Vin Diesel revealed on Sunday night.

The actor made the announcement on Facebook, sharing a photo from the last scene he filmed with Paul Walker before the star’s tragic death.

“There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…,” Diesel wrote.

As for why the star broke the news on his social media account instead of through a Universal press release, Diesel said, “He’d want you to know first…”

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the movie was in the midst of production when Walker shockingly died in a car crash last month.

The film, originally slated to be released in July 2014, was shut down indefinitely days later as the studio said it would discuss how to proceed.

Director James Wan later vowed to complete the movie, though it’s unclear how the plot will be affected.

Vin Diesel has revealed that Paul Walkers mother consoled him after the actor tragically died last Saturday.

The Fast & Furious star, who has been openly grieving about his co-star’s death, again took to Facebook to share how he reacted when he heard the awful news.

Diesel wrote, “When I heard, I immediately flew back to California, and went directly from the plane to his mother’s house.”

He continued, “I thought they needed my strength, but realized when I got there and broke down before his family, that it was I who needed theirs.”

“His mother hugged me and said, ‘I am so sorry.’ I said, ‘Sorry? You’re the mother who lost a son,’” recalled the star.

Diesel added, “She said, ‘Yes, but you lost your other half.’”

Walker and Diesel starred in five Fast & Furious movies together.

They were currently filming the seventh installment of the franchise (their sixth film together) when Walker died.
