Tameka Raymond has posted a hospital picture of Usher Raymond V, her five-year-old son with ex-husband Usher, at whose pool the little boy almost drowned earlier this week.

To accompany the Instagram pic (see full version below), Raymond wrote, “My favorite 5 year old. What a blessing! I have always loved and appreciated my sons but tragedies and close calls make this even more evident. URV had an angel named Kile Ishmael and our Lord and true savior to look after him. Words cannot express the relief and how thankful to God I truly am.”

Her 11-year-old son Kile died after a freak jet ski accident last year.

She asked for temporary custody of little Usher after this week’s drama, alleging that his famous father left him unsupervised and too often delegates child care responsibilities given his travel schedule.

Earlier on Thursday, Raymond tweeted, “Im very happy this morning, my son is resting well… we had a SpongeBob marathon ALLL night, he wouldn’t go to sleep! Thank u 4 the prayers.”

Usher Thanks “True Heroes” Who Saved Son’s Life – SEE STATEMENT HERE!

Usher is breaking his silence on the life-threatening pool accident involving his son, Usher Raymond V.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the 5-year-old nearly drowned on Monday when he got his arm stuck in the swimming pool’s drain at the singer’s Atlanta home.

He’s been recovering in intensive care ever since, though his condition has improved greatly, with the little boy now talking and eating.

In a statement released Wednesday night, Usher says:

“I am blessed and fortunate to say that my son Usher V is doing well and is recovering. I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayers, love and support for my family’s well-being. I would like to thank my Aunt Rena as well as the doctors and nurses who are working with us around the clock. I would especially like to thank the two men who saved my son’s life, Eugene Stachurski and Ben Crews. They are true heroes and I am deeply grateful to them.”

Usher’s ex-wife and the mother of his two sons, Tameka Foster, is now seeking temporary primary custody of the boys, arguing that the Grammy winner isn’t providing suitable care.

An emergency hearing has been scheduled for Friday.

Usher’s Ex-Wife Tameka Raymond Asking For Custody After Son Nearly Drowns

Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond is asking for temporary custody of their two sons after five-year-old Usher Raymond V almost drowned while in the singer’s care on Monday.

In legal documents filed on Tuesday, Tameka says Usher left the child unsupervised in the swimming pool when he got his arm caught in the drain.

She alleges that the aunt Usher left supervising the kids is not a qualified caregiver, according to TMZ.

Tameka also claimed that the singer delegates childcare duties to others the majority of the time as he is constantly traveling.

A hearing date has not been set.

Usher’s son is currently in intensive care, but it looks like he is going to be OK.

The “Yeah” singer was awarded primary custody of the children in 2012 after a fierce legal battle with Tameka.
