VIDEO: Carson Daly Joins Today Show as Host of New Orange Room

Carson Daly is joining the “Today Show.”

The TV personality will host the new Orange Room digital space as part of a redesigned “Today” set that debuts next week.

According to NBC, the Orange Room, situated in Studio 1A, will serve as a “nexus point” between the show and its audience, “embracing the many ways that viewers seek out and share news across all media, and allowing the show and its fans to connect in a variety of new ways.”

Daly will continue to host his morning radio show in Los Angeles as well as “The Voice.”

A “transition” for his late-night program “Last Call” will be announced at a later date.

Valerie Harper’s Cancer “Close To A Remission,” Says Her Doctor (VIDEO)

Valerie Harper, who’s battling terminal brain cancer and was told in January that she only had a few months to live, is “pretty close to a remission,” says her doctor, Jeremy Rudnick, noting, “It defies the odds.”

The “Rhoda” star and Dr. Rudnick taped an interview with Meredith Vieira that ran on the “Today Show” on Thursday.

The doctor, however, was quick to point out that “at anytime this can change,” and it’s “not a matter of if… it’s a matter of when” for Harper, who has leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, a rare condition in which cancer cells spread into the membrane surrounding the brain.

Harper, who reportedly will be joining this season’s “Dancing with the Stars,” told Vieira, “We’re all going to die, but because I have a finite time — or have been told so by my doctors — I just want to live every moment to the fullest.”

One Direction Rocks Today Show Concert — WATCH VIDEOS HERE!

One Direction took Rockefeller Plaza by storm on Friday for the “Today Show” Toyota Concert Series.

The boy band played hits including “Best Song Ever,” “Kiss You” and “What Makes You Beautiful” to the delight of the humongous crowd.

In fact, fans began camping out for the event six days ago.

The appearance caps a big week for 1D, coming just a few days after the world premiere of their documentary film One Direction: This Is Us in London, and Zayn Malik’s engagement.

Meanwhile, over on “Good Morning America,” The Wanted performed in Central Park.
