Jessica Simpson Has NOT “Banned” Dad Joe From Wedding, Despite Report

“Jessica Simpson has banned her father Joe from her wedding because she’s afraid he’ll cause an embarrassing scene!” claims the National Enquirer, which has been botching stories about Simpson’s marriage plans for years.

According to the tabloid, the fashion entrepreneur “has been at odds with her dad/manager since he and her mom, Tina, divorced this past spring after 34 years of marriage.”

Oh, that reminds us: The Enquirer falsely claimed the younger Simpson “fired” Joe as her manager last year.

Guess the magazine forgot about that gaffe.

In any case, the Enquirer is convinced there’s new trouble brewing.

“Jessica’s relationship with her father has deteriorated so much she doesn’t want him at her wedding,” a so-called “source” tells the tabloid. “She’s afraid he’ll make a spectacle of himself, or worse yet, start something with Tina.”

The Enquirer insider adds, “Jessica still loves Joe, but she wants the day to be about her and [fiance Eric Johnson], not some sideshow with her dad.”

There is no sideshow.

Just like there are no specific wedding plans.

All of this is just in the Enquirer’s imagination.

A source close to Simpson tells Gossip Cop the story is “not true.”

TAB: Jessica Simpson’s Fall Wedding Will Be “Nightmare” Due To Parents’ Divorce

“With her wedding date finally set for September, Jessica Simpson is facing a major family drama that has cast a shadow over her marriage plans,” begins a piece from OK!, which claims the star’s parents’ divorce is making her future wedding to Eric Johnson a “nightmare.”

A so-called “source” tells the mag that Tina and Joe Simpson are “in the middle of one of the most horrible divorces, and the tension between them is awful.”

The purported “insider” says, “It’s causing huge problems for Jessica, who is tearing herself apart trying to arrange this wedding.”

“Jessica knows her mom and dad will butt heads on her wedding day,” reveals the supposed pal, who adds, “But she’s got no choice. They both have to be there, and they’re just going to have to get on with it.”

Ooh, tell us more!

The tab goes on to allege that Simpson’s wedding stress has gotten so bad that it could affect her and her unborn baby’s health.

The so-called “source” says, “She’s having sleepless nights over it. Eric’s worried she’s not relaxing enough, and at this stage in her pregnancy, she really has to watch her blood pressure.”

Enough.

Considering how many times many times OK! has been laughably WRONG about Simpson’s nuptials in the past, it’s simply hilarious that the mag is still pretending it knows what’s going on in the star’s personal life.

As Gossip Cop has told you over and over again, Simpson and Johnson do NOT have a wedding date set.

And when the pair does decide to tie the knot, we can assure you there will be no Jerry Springer-style throwdown between Tina and Joe Simpson, whom we hear are getting along fine post-split.

In any case, a source close to the family tells us the tab’s tale is entirely “not true.”

Jessica Simpson’s Mom and Dad Starting $250 Million Fashion Battle In Divorce?

Jessica Simpson’s father Joe and mother Tina are giving her a “$250M Nightmare,” claims the National Enquirer.

What’s supposedly going on?

Well, the tabloid says Joe is “now targeting Jessica’s billion-dollar fortune in his increasingly bitter divorce from the pregnant beauty’s mom.”

According to an Enquirer source, “Joe believes that he’s entitled to an even split of Tina’s portion of Jessica’s business, which he figures to be about $250 million. And he’s going to fight to the bitter end to get it.”

The magazine claims Tina “tried to settle with Joe by offering him $100 million,” but he is allegedly “holding out for more.”

“Joe doesn’t think he has anything to lose by playing down and dirty,” explains the Enquirer source.

Playing “down and dirty” is well-worn territory for the publication, which has repeatedly run reckless stories about Jessica Simpson and her family, including a bogus “miscarriage scare” story just last month.

The Enquirer also falsely alleged that Simpson fired her dad back in December.

But as much as the outlet would love to make the Simpson divorce sound more dramatic, this “$250 million nightmare” story is just sensationalized nonsense.

A source close to the family tells us that everyone is still on amicable terms, and that there’s no truth to the Enquirer report.
