Mark Wahlberg thinks critics should cut Justin Bieber some slack.

In a video chat with The Sun on Tuesday, the actor was asked for his thoughts on Bieber’s going “off the rails,” and Wahlberg was quick to come to the teen superstar’s defense.

“Obviously he’s living in a different day and age. Everyone’s got a cell phone and the paparazzi’s everywhere,” said the movie star. ”But I was in prison before I got a record out. I don’t think he’s been to prison and I don’t think he wants to go.”

He continued, “You’re gonna be a teenager, but if you’re being a teenager in the spotlight, then you’re gonna be criticized for it.”

“He’s a kid. Let him live his life,” added Wahlberg.

The 2 Guns star, who jokingly suggested Bieber “pull your trousers up” and “stop smoking all that weed,” also said he’s still open to working with the singer on the movie they developed.

Britney Spears “Warned” Justin Bieber About His “Bad Behavior”?

Britney Spears is mentoring Justin Bieber in the wake of his recent slip-ups in Hollywood, claims The Sun.

The tabloid reports that Spears is giving the pop star “some advice on staying on the rails after his recent bad behavior.”

A supposed “source” for the paper alleges, “Justin’s team asked her to talk some sense into him.”

“Britney warned him of the slippery slope that can easily lead to rehab – or even death – among young pop stars,” adds the purported insider.

Someone should warn The Sun that publishing vague reports about celebrities without fact-checking can easily lead to getting busted by Gossip Cop.

We checked in with a rep for Spears, who tells us exclusively, “This is a fabricated story — absolutely no truth to it.”

CLAIM: Kanye West Proposes to Kim Kardashian, Wedding Set for September

“New dad Kanye West asked Kim Kardashian to marry him just days after she gave birth to their first child,” claims an “exclusive” from The Sun.

According to the tab, “The reality star has accepted his proposal and the pair are planning a wedding in Paris this September.”

West “has not yet sealed the deal with an engagement ring,” alleges The Sun, “but he has splashed out £500,000 on a rare black and tiger-stripe diamond ring,” as a supposed “push present.”

The British paper further quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “He’s even more in love with her now than ever and they can’t wait to get married.”

While we have no doubt that the new parents are in love, and may indeed tie the knot one day, they are NOT engaged.

A source close to the couple tells Gossip Cop that the outlet’s proposal story is completely “not true.”

The Sun, after all, is the same outlet that recently claimed West “refused” to attend Kardashian’s baby shower (wrong!), and that he had banned her from signing autographs (false!).
