Aaron Taylor-Johnson Joins Avengers: Age of Ultron as Quicksilver

Meet the newest Avenger.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is joining the massive movie franchise as Quicksilver, his rep confirms to Gossip Cop.

The actor will make his first appearance in the highly-anticipated The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The character’s twin, the Scarlet Witch, is also expected to appear in the film.

Quicksilver will also appear in the upcoming X-Men Days of Future Past — portrayed by Evan Peters.

James Spader to Play Ultron in Avengers 2

James Spader will play Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Marvel made the announcement on Thursday.

The Emmy-winning actor will play the villain who battles Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and the rest of the all-star Avengers crew for control of the world.

The highly anticipated movie hits theaters in May 2015.

2012′s The Avengers is the third-highest grossing film in history.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron Set For 2015

The Avengers sequel is set.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron will debut in theaters on May 1, 2015, Marvel announced at Comic-Con on Saturday, with director Joss Whedon showing a brief early teaser for the project.

Its plot will be rooted in the 10-issue limited “Age of Ultron” comic book series concerning the titular super-villain’s takeover of Earth and eventual battle with the all-star band of superheroes.

As part of the company’s panel presentation, footage from the upcoming Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier was also screened.

The first Avengers movie, released last year, became the third-highest grossing film of all time.
