Rosie Pierri spoke with Gossip Cop at Thursday’s American Music Awards nominations ceremony in New York, where the reality star opened up about the legal battle her cousin Teresa Giudice is facing.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Giduice and her husband Joe have pleaded not guilty to federal fraud charges, and are facing significant prison time for their alleged misdeeds.

Pierri acknowledged that her “Real Housewives of New Jersey” co-star has a “tough road ahead of her.”

“Some thing’s are black and white out there. I don’t think the federal government makes things up,” said the TV personality.

She continued, “Some things may be true, [but] I don’t know what the extent of them are.”

Pierri, however, is hoping the couple “can pull through this on top.”

“I’m praying that everything works out for her and her family,” she said, noting, “I think Teresa and Joe do everything in their power to protect their children.”

“I feel very, very horrible inside that she’s got to go through this,” added Pierri.

Pierri will co-host the American Music Awards red carpet pre-show with Lance Bass on November 24.

Asked whether the kids would go and live with Teresa’s brother and sister-in-law Joe and Melissa Gorga, Joe Giudice said, “They wouldn’t want to go there. Because of all the things [Joe and Melissa] say on television about their mom.”

Joe added, “It wouldn’t be Melissa and Joe. It would be my sister and brother.”

Teresa also told Andy Cohen she wants to return for the next season of “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” but would not be allowed to discuss her legal problems on camera.

In July, the Giudices were hit with a 39-count indictment, accused of crimes including bankruptcy fraud, bank fraud, conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and making false statements on loan applications.

They have pled not guilty to the charges.
