One Direction gives fans a slice of life on the road in the September issue of Teen Vogue.

Interviewed while on tour in Florida, the group tries to enjoy some rare off-time, sometimes made difficult by the legions of girls trying to steal a glimpse of the boy banders at their luxury hotel.

A sunburned Niall Horan says, “I’m not going to be a prisoner in my room — and the fans weren’t intrusive. I don’t see how you could get used to people screaming in your face, and anyone who says different is lying.”

Zayn Malik opts to stay inside, explaining to the mag that while he’s “humbled that so many fans have bothered,” “it was a bit too busy for me [today].”

“I like to chill somewhere quiet,” he explains. “I get pleasure from the little things in life.”

After all, when you’re on tour with four close friends and roughly 50 crew members, there’s always someone around.

“It could definitely be a lonely job,” says Louis Tomlinson. ”I wouldn’t be able to do this if I were on my own.”

In fact, the guys make clear that it’s the people they’re with — and not the perks they get — that makes the job worthwhile.

Unlike many performers, One Direction’s members don’t have a rider full of backstage demands.

“We never actually sat there and made one. They bring us the stuff they think we like,” says Liam Payne, adding, “We’re not really that diva.”

The full interview hits newsstands on August 6.

Emma Watson: I Never “Realized” I Was Famous Until I Went To College in U.S.

4:41 pm, June 25th, 2013

(Boo George for Teen Vogue)

Emma Watson opens up about fame, keeping out of trouble and The Bling Ring in the August issue of Teen Vogue.

As for how she’s managed to stay on the right path unlike some of her fellow child stars, the actress shares, “I think, in a way, I was very protected during Harry Potter, because I was working all the time. I would get in the car, go to the studio, and go home.”

Watson says because she lived in England and kept a low profile, she didn’t even realize she was a huge star until she enrolled in Brown University in 2009.

The actress reveals, “It sounds stupid, or completely unbelievable, but that was when I really realized that I was famous.”

“There are still days when I deal with [fame] horribly and there are days when I deal with it really well,” says the young star, who admits there are times she feels “wobbly” on the red carpet.

Watson, who’s not much of a partier herself, tells the mag she had an interesting time playing wild child Nicki in The Bling Ring.

She recalls, “We were doing a scene in a nightclub and this girl accidentally put her stiletto through my toe! And the crazy thing is, I had so much adrenaline going through my system that I just kept dancing until, finally, I looked down at my foot and saw the blood.”

The issue hits newsstands on July 2.

Nicki Minaj has come a long way from being a bullied kid growing up in Queens, New York.

But now the successful 30-year-old rapper says she sees striking similarities between the drama of her school days and the rivalries in Hollywood.

“People treat this business like it’s high school. It can absolutely feel like one big popularity contest, and you know what? I can’t be bothered,” Minaj tells Teen Vogue.

She continues, “I can’t allow myself to play ridiculous games with grown adults in the industry. I can’t be nice to someone just because they’re hot right now. I can’t do it.”

The “American Idol” judge — who has feuded all season long with fellow panelist Mariah Carey — acknowledges in the magazine that she’s not liked by everyone, but also steadfastly refuses to care.

“I used to read the bad things people said about me. Then I asked myself, Why am I reading that when I have millions of people saying great things?” says Minaj. ”You cannot give negativity power.”

The full interview in the June/July issue hits newsstands on May 21.
