Ted Allen, the host of “Chopped,” has announced his engagement in the wake of Wednesday’s Supreme Court rulings in favor of same-sex marriage.
He tweeted, “Proud to announce on this historic day that my partner of 20 years, Barry Rice, and I are engaged to be married. :).”
Melissa Etheridge made similar news on Wednesday, using the historic legal decisions to reveal her plans to wed Linda Wallem.
Meanwhile, heterosexual couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard promised to make good on their long-standing pledge to get married when their gay friends had the same opportunity.
