Carrie Underwood is taking over for fellow country star Faith Hill on Sunday nights.

Underwood will now sing the opening theme for “Sunday Night Football” on NBC, it was announced on Tuesday.

She says she’ll adapt the song “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night” to her own style.

“For me, it just always seemed like something that would be fun to do,” says Underwood, adding, “To watch Faith do it week after week, to see that hype for the game, it’s something that’s so cool.”

Last month, Hill announced that after six seasons it was time “someone else rock the open.”

What do you think about Underwood taking over for Hill?
