Stephen Colbert channeled Miley Cyrus on Thursday, twerking with the Grim Reaper in celebration of House Republicans’ threat to shut down the government if Obamacare is not defunded.

Waving a foam finger, wagging his tongue, and grinding on Death, the host looked happier than he’s been since his epic “Get Lucky” dance party over the summer.

No word on whether Robin Thicke was under the mask.

VIDEO: Stephen Colbert Throws Amazing “Get Lucky” Dance Party With Celebs

Daft Punk canceled on Stephen Colbert due to a secret contractual obligation with the MTV Video Music Awards — so the “Colbert Report” host was forced to get creative to “Get Lucky.”

And boy, did he deliver.

Colbert called on stars including Matt Damon, Jimmy Fallon, Bryan Cranston, Jeff Bridges, Hugh Laurie, and even Jon Stewart (via satellite) to produce an amazing “Get Lucky” music video to make up for Daft Punk’s absence.

Oh, and Henry Kissinger and “America’s Got Talent” are also involved.

It’s amazing.

Stephen Colbert Gives Moving Tribute To Late Mother on The Colbert Report

Stephen Colbert began “The Colbert Report” on Wednesday with a moving tribute to his late mother, Lorna Tuck Colbert, who passed away last Monday.

He said, “If you watch this show, and you like this show, it’s because of everybody who works here and I’m lucky to be one of them,” adding that “when you watch the show, if you also like me, that’s because of my mom.”

The comedian went on to share stories of his mother’s life, mentioning that they shared a similar sense of humor, and that she used to “do stage falls by pretending to faint on the kitchen floor.”

Colbert also noted his mother considered him and his siblings to be “the light of her life.”
