Snooki is getting the cold shoulder from some Jersey Shore residents, but the reality star is striking back at their efforts to block her from the area.
On Sunday, the New Jersey Star-Ledger reported that members of the Pelican Island community are working to keep Snooki out of the neighborhood, particularly as she plans to film her “Jersey Shore” spinoff “Snooki & JWoww” in the area.
Snooki has been firing back ever since.
The TV personality took to her Instagram to call those individuals complaining about her “absolutely sick and very sad.”
“Grow up, get over yourself and move on,” wrote Snooki. “This is not how we should be treating one another… I pray for you. There’s much bigger things to worry about in life than trying to ban my family from your neighborhood.”
On Tuesday, Snooki continued to defend herself, fiancé Jionni LaValle, and their son Lorenzo.
“If the wrong crowd is family and you call that trash than girlllll, I pray for you,” she told one Twitter critic. “This isn’t Jersey Shore anymore.”
Snooki then posted a video, thanking her fans for “always having my back” and blaming the problem on people being “freakin’ jealous.”

JWoww also weighed in on the trouble, tweeting at her costar, “Laughing so hard over these reports … Who would’ve thought 2 girls can piss so many people off.”
