Is there romance blooming for Charlize Theron and Seth MacFarlane?

A number of outlets, including the Chicago Sun-Times, are spreading the rumor that the duo might be a new couple after collaborating during the opening of last Sunday’s Oscars and then hanging out at an after-party.

The newspaper quotes a source as saying, “This is early, but I see a new relationship brewing.”

Seriously?

NO.

While Theron and MacFarlane indeed get along well, and she’ll reportedly appear in his upcoming comedy A Million Days to Die in the West, they’re friends and nothing more.

A source close to MacFarlane tells us the romance rumors are not true.

Seth MacFarlane: I Will NOT Host Oscars Again

Seth MacFarlane says he won’t host the Oscars again.

Early Tuesday, a Twitter follower asked the performer whether he’d take the gig again if asked, and MacFarlane responded, “No way. Lotta fun to have done it, though.”

The polarizing emcee was a controversial choice whose jokes during the ceremony raised eyebrows, although the telecast’s ratings were up.

Seth MacFarlane’s Oscars hosting gig didn’t end when the show did.

The host also helped kick off Jimmy Kimmel’s annual post-Academy Awards special, which began with Kimmel visiting MacFarlane’s dressing room to offer his congratulations.

Much to Kimmel’s shock, he discovered MacFarlane is a hoarder, packing the tiny space with everything from cardboard cut-outs of Michelle Kwan to Taylor Lautner’s bloody fingers for good luck.

Things turned very ugly.
