“After taking part in Seth MacFarlane’s opening number at the Oscars, Charlize Theron reportedly fell for the Family Guy creator in the process!” declares Star, three weeks after other outlets erroneously reported the same thing.

Late and wrong, Star tries to add something to the mix by quoting a supposed “pal” as saying that MacFarlane and Theron “are getting more comfortable with going public.”

Moreover, MacFarlane is said to have a “bond” with Theron’s adopted son Jackson.

“That’s what sent the relationship over the edge from just hookup buddies,” explains the Star source.

Except it’s not true.

As Gossip Cop reported, the two stars do indeed get along, and she’s set to appear in his upcoming comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West.

But they’re friends — nothing more.

A source close to MacFarlane tells us the romance rumors are not true.

Seth MacFarlane won’t be hosting the Oscars again next year — and the National Enquirer claims it’s because “he’ll be too damn busy hosting the primetime variety show that swooning execs at ABC are begging him to helm.”

A source for the supermarket tabloid explains, “Seth proved he could draw a big younger audience, and that’s gold to the network.”

“As we speak, they’re meeting with him to star on his own show,” alleges the mag’s tipster.

For real?

NO!

A rep for MacFarlane tells Gossip Cop the Enquirer’s story is “not true,” explaining, “He just did the Oscars for ABC, but that is all.”

Is there romance blooming for Charlize Theron and Seth MacFarlane?

A number of outlets, including the Chicago Sun-Times, are spreading the rumor that the duo might be a new couple after collaborating during the opening of last Sunday’s Oscars and then hanging out at an after-party.

The newspaper quotes a source as saying, “This is early, but I see a new relationship brewing.”

Seriously?

NO.

While Theron and MacFarlane indeed get along well, and she’ll reportedly appear in his upcoming comedy A Million Days to Die in the West, they’re friends and nothing more.

A source close to MacFarlane tells us the romance rumors are not true.
