Joe Jonas revealed the true meaning behind the Jonas Brothers’ new song “Pom Poms” on Friday’s “On Air With Ryan Seacrest.”

Asked about the track, the singer told the host, “There’s a lot of nicknames for pom poms… ‘headlights,’ some I could get in trouble saying on [air].”

Jonas added, “I think it’s pretty self-explanatory what pom poms mean, Ryan.”

Seacrest then questioned Jonas if he has a “preference,” asking, “Do you like real pom poms, do you like artificial pom poms?”

“I would have to go with real… but I don’t discriminate,” replied the pop star.

The pair went on to discuss the size and shape of various pom poms.

Ryan Seacrest “Swatted” in 911 Prank

6:57 pm, April 10th, 2013

(GettyImages.com)

Ryan Seacrest is the latest target of a celebrity “swatting” prank, in which someone tricks law enforcement into responding to a bogus emergency.

According to TMZ, police visited the “American Idol” host’s sprawling estate in Beverly Hills on Wednesday after a 911 call claimed shots had been fired at the house.

There was NO actual emergency or violence on the property, however, just as there wasn’t last week, when Justin Timberlake’s house was targeted and pranksters went after Selena Gomez.

While it’s obviously good news that no one was hurt, it’s unfortunate that these “swatting” pranks have become so common in Hollywood, as they divert law enforcement personnel and resources from real crimes.

The minor who “swatted” Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber last year was eventually apprehended.

Selena Gomez: My New Single is NOT About Justin Bieber — And I’m Single

Selena Gomez opened up about her new single “Come and Get It” in an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Monday, shooting down speculation that the track is about Justin Bieber.

Seacrest pointed out that the song’s lyrics include the lines, “I love you much, too much to hide you, this love ain’t finished yet,” and then asked the star what she was “willing to say about it.”

While Gomez had conceded earlier in the interview that she did begin recording her new album in October (in the midst of her on- and off-again drama with Bieber), she went on to insist the song has nothing do with him.

“Honestly, actually, to be 100 percent real, it’s not really about a specific person,” said the Spring Breakers star.

Gomez continued, “The reason why I wanted this to be the first single was because it exudes, like I said earlier, confidence and strength, and that is something I’m willing to share with the world. That’s the place I want to be in, and I want to represent something good and be a good example, so I think it’s fun.”

Seacrest later posed another direct question, wondering how many guys have asked Gomez out in the last two months.

“None,” she replied flatly, adding, “I’m available.”
