“With boyfriend Robert Pattinson an ocean away, Kristen Stewart faces temptation with Rupert Sanders,” claims In Touch in a story as predictable as it is predictably wrong.
The tabloid notes that Liberty Ross filed for divorce from Sanders last month, and speculates that the news “immediately stirred up those old feelings of distrust” Pattinson has about Stewart, because she and Sanders both happen to be in Los Angeles right now.
“Rob’s friends are warning him that she cheated once, so what’s stopping her from doing it again?” a “friend” tells In Touch.
According to the magazine, Stewart and Pattinson’s relationship is “still on shaky ground” and could be threatened by her proximity to Sanders while Pattinson shoots The Rover in Australia.
“Kristen is lonely and vulnerable right now,” explains a source for the tab, while a different In Touch insider explains, “It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Kristen and Rupert got back in touch, and it would be Rupert who reached out. He was infatuated with her.”
The mag’s source warns, “With so many people watching her every move, if she hooks up with Rupert, [Pattinson will] find out about it. They’ll be done for good.”
In Touch sure loves hypotheticals.
Here’s one: If a magazine has proven itself to be wrong a staggering number of times when it comes to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, should anyone trust its reporting?
Even before Pattinson left for Australia, In Touch was publishing false stories about the couple being “miserable” together, Pattinson having “second thoughts” about their relationship, and the duo having an “explosive fight” before Christmas.
None of these things was true.
Of course, In Touch also ran a despicable cover story alleging that Stewart was somehow wrecking Ben Affleck’s marriage to Jennifer Garner.
That’s because the magazine has no clue what’s going on with the Twilight stars and few qualms about running sensational quotes from sketchy sources.
Just because Sanders and Stewart are both in Los Angeles at the same time, nothing has changed.
There’s no Pattinson paranoia — just In Touch desperation for a salacious angle.
A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop the magazine’s latest story is “made up.”
