Robert Pattinson “Slowing Down” Riley Keough Relationship, Says Shameless Site

(HollywoodLife)

HollywoodLife’s latest exercise in manipulation has ended in predictably humiliating fashion.

For a week, the webloid used a false rumor about Robert Pattinson and Riley Keough dating (they weren’t) to take cheap shots at Kristen Stewart and fabricate drama.

The bottom-feeding blog misled readers for the sake of sensationalism.

And now HollywoodLife is trying to slither away from its mess.

Why let ’em?

This is a site that regularly claims to have “exclusives” about these stars, and it should be held accountable for its seemingly endless contradictions and failures.

“Robert Pattinson: Why He’s Slowing Down Riley Keough Relationship,” reads the site’s new headline.

He’s not slowing it down — it never existed.

“A source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Rob doesn’t want to have the same relationship with Riley that he had with Kristen,” reports the outlet.

He doesn’t have a relationship with her.

HollywoodLife adds, “Robert Pattinson and Riley Keough haven’t been spotted together since June 29, when they were seen hanging out together in the actor’s pickup truck.”

They were not seen hanging out together in the actor’s pickup truck.

“[Rob and Riley] are still seeing each other, however, it’s mostly physical,” someone tells HollywoodLife. “Rob was a little scared off that this new relationship was going to be a media firestorm, so he has slowed things down, so mostly it’s a physical relationship.”

Huh?

“They don’t consider it dating, but everyone around them does,” adds the HollywoodLife insider. “And I wouldn’t say they are in love, but they could easily get there. He is afraid that he will will (sic) get hurt or hurt her, so he is treading lightly because he does genuinely like her.”

What on Earth is this person blathering about?

Here’s all anyone needs to know: HollywoodLife got duped by a rumor, doubled and then tripled down on it, refused to acknowledge reality, and is now trying to extricate itself with cowardly, half-baked excuses for its week-long flop.

Please remember this the next time the site claims to have an “exclusive” about Robert Pattinson.

Kristen Stewart “Seething” Over Robert Pattinson and Riley Keough, Reports HollywoodLife From Its Alternate Reality

Truth rating: 0

5:36 pm, July 9th, 2013

(HollywoodLife)

HollywoodLife continues to embarrass itself.

The webloid regularly spreads false reports about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, stirring up bogus stories that get circulated by other sites — and then quashed by Gossip Cop.

Last week, the clueless blog got duped by a rumor that Pattinson was dating Riley Keough.

Gossip Cop had already debunked the story, mostly because, unlike HollywoodLife, we don’t consider inbox spam to be a “source.”

But HollywoodLife has little use for reality (if it’s not sensational), so the site announced that Stewart was allegedly devastated about the non-existent Pattinson-Keough relationship.

Several days passed, Robert Pattinson and Riley Keough continued to not date, and HollywoodLife had the chance to do the right thing and leave the b.s. narrative alone.

But it couldn’t help itself.

“Kristen Stewart Is ‘Seething’ Over Robert Pattinson’s New Love — Report,” reads the site’s new headline, a full week after most of the world stopped insisting the “new love” existed.

“Hell hath no fury like a woman scored!” bellows the site, hilariously misquoting an extremely famous quote, because sloppiness is what HollywoodLife does best.

The “report” HollywoodLife is borrowing comes from Grazia, an outlet last seen publishing a phony cover story about Pattinson purportedly going to the Oscars with Jennifer Lawrence.

That, of course, never happened.

Now a so-called “source” tells Grazia, “Kristen is seething. She understands things are over between her and Rob, but to see him now dating one of her closest friends is just too much for her to deal with and seeing the pictures really hurt her.”

The “pictures” did not show Pattinson with Keough.

They are not dating.

But HollywoodLife goes beyond just taking Grazia’s inaccurate reporting — the site repeats the bogus allegation that Pattinson and Keough are “quietly dating,” and alleges that a “source” has revealed that it’s because Pattinson is “confident Riley will never cheat on him, unlike Kristen.”

ENOUGH ALREADY.

The problem here is that anyone already acquainted with HollywoodLife’s track record will immediately be wary of this type of “report.”

But the Internet allows HollywoodLies — er, HollywoodLife — to spread its b.s. to other outlets in minutes, and those secondary readers may not have the benefit of putting this tripe in its proper context.

And so, as long as HollywoodLife keeps filling the celebrity news niche with inaccurate garbage, Gossip Cop will keep pointing it out.

Oh, and by the way, Robert Pattinson is still not dating Riley Keough.

SITE: Kristen Stewart “Sad” About Robert Pattinson and Riley Keough “Dating”

Truth rating: 0

Robert Pattinson and Riley Keough are NOT dating.

Gossip Cop was the first outlet to bust the bogus reports earlier this week.

But, as it’s demonstrated for years, HollywoodLife has little use for reality.

The bottom-feeding webloid ignores the facts in favor of pretending there’s a real Pattinson-Keough relationship, especially if it means the outlet can take cheap shots.

That’s why HollywoodLife has now published an absurd, mean-spirited bit of speculative blather alleging that Kristen Stewart arrived in Los Angeles on Thursday “looking sad.”

“Do you think she looks sad because Rob is now dating Riley Keough?” the blog asks its readers.

He’s not.

HollywoodLife doesn’t care.

The site reports, ”When Kristen Stewart jetted back into LA’s LAX airport on July 4 after her whirlwind trip to Paris, she looked a little down in the dumps. Sure, she could just be tired from traveling, or was it that she was upset that she was back in LA, where her ex Robert Pattinson has been seen out driving with his new love and Kristen’s former co-star Riley Keough?”

Pattinson was not driving with Keough.

That’s 100 percent false.

Oh, and HollywoodLife is quick to note that when Stewart looked perfectly happy during her Paris stint, it was only because she was “putting on a brave face.”

When you inhabit an alternate reality like HollywoodLife does, everything can be bent to fit a false narrative.

The blog claims Stewart is “livid” that Pattinson is seeing Keough.

He’s not.

At this point, the site’s infamously uninformed sources take center stage.

“Despite the fact that Riley’s rep has said that Riley and Rob aren’t dating, Hollywoodlife.com spoke to sources close to the pair, and they have re-confirmed to us that they are seeing each other,” announces the outlet.

HollywoodLife uses random Twitter users as “sources,” and we’ll let the record speak for itself.

There is absolutely nothing to this “story.”

It’s yet another example of HollywoodLife doing everything it can to milk a discredited rumor, manufacture outrage, and create controversy.
