Arsenio Hall Makes TV Comeback with Paula Abdul & Jay Leno – WATCH VIDEO!

Arsenio Hall returned to late-night TV on Monday nearly 20 years after his old show ended.

The first “Arsenio” featured a cold open with rival Jay Leno and a surprise walk-on from old friend Paula Abdul.

Abdul managed to get in a dig at Simon Cowell before getting genuinely emotional as she told Hall, “I’m so proud of you. You’ve done something that no one’s ever done before, or let alone even tried… to come back after 20 years… it’s really inspiring.”

WATCH: Paula Abdul Makes A Surprise Return to American Idol

Paula Abdul made a surprise return to “American Idol” on Thursday’s results show.

When Ryan Seacrest asked Randy Jackson if he had heard from Abdul regarding Candice Glover’s cover of the former judge’s “Straight Up” on Wednesday’s show, the music producer revealed he couldn’t get a hold of her and felt “dissed.”

Cut to Abdul walking out on stage behind Seacrest and Glover, positively shocking the contestant — and the crowd.

Abdul said how “moved” she was that Glover covered the song, and shared her thoughts on the current season.

She then went over to the judges’ table to check out her old seat, and was greeted with warm affection from the new panel.
