Neil Patrick Harris did not do a song-and-dance number to open Sunday’s Emmy Awards (he did this instead) — but the host DID perform one in the middle of the broadcast.

It was called, appropriately, “The Number in the Middle of the Show.”

Nathan Fillion and Sarah Silverman made cameos.

It was rudely “interrupted” by previous hosts Jimmy Kimmel, Jane Lynch, Jimmy Fallon, and Conan O’Brien, as well as audience members Kevin Spacey, Amy Poehler, and Tina Fey.
