Morrissey has canceled the rest of his North American tour due to health problems.

In a statement released late on Friday, the singer’s rep indicated that he has “suffered a series of medical mishaps over the past few months including a bleeding ulcer, Barrett’s esophagus, and double pneumonia.”

A total of 22 scheduled concert dates have been canceled, with refunds available at the point of purchase.

“Despite his best efforts to try to continue touring, Morrissey has to take a hiatus and will not be able to continue on the rest of the tour,” continued the statement. “Morrissey thanks all of his fans for their well wishes and thoughts.”

The former Smiths frontman had already called off a number of tour appearances this year due to his continuing health issues.
