Julianne Moore Cast As President in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Films

Julianne Moore has just been added to the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and Part 2, Lionsgate announced on Friday.

The four-time Oscar nominee will play President Alma Coin, the leader of the rebellion against the Capitol.

The third and fourth installments of The Hunger Games franchise, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, will be directed by Francis Lawrence, and are slated for release on November 21, 2014 and November 20, 2015, respectively.

Rebel Wilson: I’m Up For Role In The Hunger Games: Mockingjay

Could Rebel Wilson be joining The Hunger Games franchise?

In an interview with BuzzFeed, the Perfect Pitch star revealed she’s up for a role in Mockingjay, the final installment to the series, which will be divided into two parts.

Asked if she’s a fan of the books and movies, Wilson said, “Um, seriously, I have had a meeting about being in The Hunger Games. Yes.”

The actress divulged that the role “was one of the people in the capitol.”

Wilson added, “There aren’t a lot of roles open, because they’ve all already been cast, but that would be awesome. I’d love to be in The Hunger Games.”

Of course, Catching Fire is currently filming, so the actress had to be referring to Mockingjay, the conclusion to the series.

Gossip Cop reached out to a rep for Wilson for more details on the possible role.
