Louis C.K. went off on an epic, beautiful and hilarious rant about smartphones on Thursday’s “Conan.”

The comedian began by explaining why he won’t let his children have cell phones, believing they’re “toxic” to the development of caring and understanding.

From there, he built an incredible argument against a gadget culture that numbs us to feelings of true sadness and happiness.

Louis C.K. just debuted a promo for his upcoming HBO comedy special “Oh My God,” and, like much of what the comedian does, it’s a bit unconventional.

In the clip, the critically acclaimed “Louie” star mocks the over-the-top promotions given to similar shows, including crazy camera work, slow-mo dramatics, and exaggerated voiceovers.

He still gets to play with a gold microphone.

The special arrives in April.
