Selena Gomez: Lorde’s “Not Supporting Other Women,” I May Stop Covering Song

Selena Gomez is once again hitting back against Lorde after the 17-year-old singer called Gomez’s song “Come & Get It” anti-feminist.

Asked about the diss in the December issue of Flaunt, Gomez says, “That’s not feminism. [Lorde is] not supporting other women.”

The pop star tells the mag, “That’s my honest opinion, that’s what I would say to her if I saw her.”

Gomez goes on to say that while she’s still a big fan of Lorde, she may stop covering “Royals” at her concerts.

The performer shares, “I actually covered her song in all of my shows that I’ve done so far,” adding, “I’m not sure if I’m going to continue that.”

Cher Lloyd SLAMS Lorde For Dissing Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift

Cher Lloyd is slamming Lorde for dissing Selena Gomez as anti-feminist and saying Taylor Swift represented an “unattainable” image to young fans.

Asked about Lorde’s comments by J-14, the “Want U Back” singer said, “Why does she have to go do that? She’s doing so well — what a knob.”

Lloyd told the mag, “I think she’s going to eat her words, which she obviously already has, and I think for someone who’s gaining so much success so early, she should be considering herself lucky, it takes a lot of work.”

The British pop star continued, “If she said something about me, it’d be a different story. I wouldn’t stand for any of that, I’d be straight back on it.”

When the mag informed Lloyd that Gomez had indeed defended herself against Lorde’s comments, the singer was pleased.

“Good for her,” Lloyd said, adding, “I probably would have used foul language.”
