Liev Schreiber did NOT “kick a paparazzo in the nuts,” despite a lame story from BuzzFeed.

On Friday, the site ran a piece with the headline, “Did Liev Schreiber Kick A Paparazzo In The Nuts?” along with several photos of the actor riding a bike in New York with his two young sons in tow.

A photographer is seen standing to the left of the star as he’s peddling, and in one of the pics, Schreiber’s foot appears level with the man’s crotch.

And that’s literally all there is to the blog’s story.

Now, Gossip Cop is well aware that it’s a slow news day, and there seems to be no malicious intent in BuzzFeed’s piece.

Still, this sort of empty speculation and desire to stir drama at the cost of accuracy is how rumors start in the first place.

It’s cheap, and there’s too much of it on the Internet today.

In any case, we checked in with a Schreiber insider, who tells us the photographer “didn’t get kicked in the nuts.”

Mystery solved.

Naomi Watts Reveals “Ballsy” Way She First Hit on Liev Schreiber

Naomi Watts describes how she made the first move on Liev Schreiber in the November issue of Allure.

“It was a lot more ballsy than I would ever normally be,” recalls the actress of their encounter at the Met Costume Institute Gala in 2005.

Watts remembers, “He got up to say he was leaving, and I was like, ‘Oh, sh*t.’ So I said something cheeky. ‘Don’t you want my digits?’ It made him laugh. He texted me saying, ‘Would you like to go for a drink right now?’ And I said, ‘No, I’ll meet you for breakfast tomorrow.’”

She wanted to set the record about their courtship straight after Schreiber recently joked in a magazine that Watts had forced a director to cast him in the movie The Painted Veil.

“I didn’t get him the role,” she tells Allure. “Of course he got it for himself. He turned it down to begin with, and then I talked him into it…. I really had to push him because I wanted to see him.”

Watts stars as Princess Di in the upcoming Diana, and she knows that comparisons with the iconic woman she’s portraying are inevitable — and she wanted the challenge.

She explains, “I thought, Everyone’s going to jump to these comparisons: ‘She hasn’t got the nose. She hasn’t got the voice.’ [I thought], it’s not going to work; it’s too scary. So I said no. But for some reason, I didn’t feel completely at peace with that decision. It was nerve-wracking every step of the way until I was there, and then it was like, ‘OK, now I’m just doing it.’”

What was the key to playing Diana?

“There was a ferocity and then a real fragility to her. You’re just drawn in by those eyes,” says Watts.

She calls her performance an “interpretation.”

“I had to make it my own,” explains the actress, who plays a pregnant stripper in the upcoming St. Vincent De Van Nuys.

Watts describes her transition: “From princess to pole.”
