Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman stepped out together in public on Saturday for the first time since it was revealed that she’s expecting his baby.

The parents-to-be were photographed walking in the South of France a little more than a week after Silverman reached a divorce settlement with her estranged husband Andrew.

At Tuesday’s One Direction: This Is Us premiere, Cowell acknowledged Silverman’s pregnancy for the first time, calling his baby mama a “very special girl” and saying, “I’m proud to be a dad.”

Simon Cowell is demanding that baby mama Lauren Silverman take a paternity test, reports Star, which claims the “X Factor” creator is “not to keen on giving up his money” for the newly-divorced socialite.

The magazine alleges that Cowell “recently told Lauren that he’s not even thinking about child support” until she “submits to a DNA test!”

According to a so-called “source” for the tab, “Simon is no fool, and he’s not going to pay a cent for this child until he’s 100 percent sure he’s the father.”

“He needs scientific proof,” says the purported “insider.”

The mag’s supposed “source” goes on to note, “Simon was with Lauren a lot of the time but not all of the time” during their affair, adding that the baby “could be” her ex-husband Andrew Silverman’s.

That’s odd, considering the fact that on Tuesday, Cowell confirmed he’s having a baby with Lauren and excitedly told reporters, “I’m proud to be a dad.”

Simon Cowell, who dodged directly answering questions about his impending fatherhood when asked earlier this month, is now changing his tune and says he’s “proud” of becoming a dad.

At Tuesday’s London premiere of One Direction: This Is Us, Cowell publicly confirmed for the first time that he’s having a baby with Lauren Silverman.

He told the BBC, “Things are changing in my life right now, for the better,” adding, “I’m proud to be a dad.”

Cowell also called Silverman, who recently settled her divorce, a “very special girl,” and noted that while he previously hadn’t considered fatherhood, “now I know I feel good about it.”
