Keith Urban might be a little colder this winter season.

The “American Idol” judge has cut off his signature long locks!

“Snow ain’t the only thing falling in Nashville today!!” tweeted Urban with a photo of his hair on the floor of a salon.

He later posed a pic of his brand new ‘do.

Keith Urban appears on Monday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show,” where he talks about the new “American Idol” team and staying in touch with wife Nicole Kidman when they’re working on different continents.

He explains that the couple never texts or emails, instead calling each other on the phone.

Well, almost always.

“Maybe one text, maybe one cool kind of… a year… you know, one of those kinds of texts,” says Urban.

DeGeneres asks for clarification.

Urban bashfully admits that there’s some “nice sex texting.”

“I’m a little red right now,” laughs Urban.

Keith Urban Coming Back to American Idol; Jennifer Lopez “Close” to Return

Keith Urban is coming back to “American Idol.”

The country music singer will return as a judge when the show’s 13th season debuts in January 2014, FOX confirmed on Thursday.

He’ll be the only holdover from last season, with fellow panelists Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, and Randy Jackson all having departed.

Urban tweeted, “Thrilled to be back on @AmericanIdol with my pal @RyanSeacrest and dying to know who the other judges will be!!!!”

Meanwhile, an insider tells Gossip Cop that Jennifer Lopez, who judged on seasons 10 and 11, is very “close” to making a deal to return to the singing competition.
