Katy Perry and John Mayer opened up about their relationship and their “Who You Love” duet on Friday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
Asked whether their music video was a response to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s “Bound 2” video, Perry joked, “I thought our response was a little bit more authentic because my hair was blowing in the right direction.”

Mayer made a face as if shade had just been thrown.
Perry went on to talk about the pair’s relationship, saying, “We have a lot of fun. You know, we have music as an understanding and love between each other and we connect and you know its like he understands what I do because he does the same thing.”
The couple then debuted their latest music video — from the ’70s.

John Mayer accidentally said “f**king” during his “Good Morning America” interview with Katy Perry on Monday.

Asked about being in the studio with his girlfriend, Mayer shared, “I come in the studio and she plays stuff and I go [puts hand over mouth]. And then I’ll hear a melody… I’ll hear a melody and I’ll be like, ‘Don’t… don’t.’”
Mayer continued, “She was f**king… And I’ll go, ‘Come here, come here, come here, I sang this into my iPhone while you were in there, just check it out.’”
“[And Katy says] ‘Oh, I’ll do that!’” the singer revealed, adding, “I’m like, ‘Good, good, good.’”
Mayer was not bleeped because he caught himself toward the end of the F-bomb.
