TAB: Courteney Cox & Jennifer Aniston “Rift” Caused By Justin Theroux

“For two decades, nothing could come between former ‘Friends’ co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox — but now it looks like Jen’s fiancé Justin Theroux has managed to create a rift,” declares the National Enquirer rather dramatically.

According to the supermarket tabloid, Aniston “skipped” out on Cox’s recent birthday party because “control-freak Justin wants her to stop hanging out with all her old pals — and Cox is so upset she’s ready to kiss the friendship goodbye for good.”

Sound familiar?

It should. The Enquirer’s sister publication Star tried peddling similar nonsense last December, wrongly alleging Aniston had “ditched” her friends, including Cox, for Theroux’s buddies.

Now, the Enquirer is attempting to put a fresh spin on the tired claim, quoting a so-called “insider” as saying Aniston’s “absence” from Cox’s June 16 bash was “the talk of the party.”

The supposed snitch claims Aniston was invited, but then allegedly gave “a lame excuse of being tired” for why she bailed.

Cox “later learned the truth,” reports the Enquirer, which says the real reason in that Theroux wants Aniston to “freshen up her friends list,” and “gave her so much grief about going to the party that she finally decided to decline the invitation.”

“Courteney is sick of forgiving and forgetting,” says the mag’s “insider,” adding, “She’s been slighted by Jen one too many times now.”

Interestingly, the magazine can’t muster up one example of Cox being “slighted” besides the alleged party diss.

Why?

Because Aniston and Cox — who appeared together in a bit for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” just last month — remain friends.

Furthermore, a source close to Theroux tells Gossip Cop it’s completely “not true” that he’s encouraging Aniston to dump to Cox or any other friend.

OK!: Jennifer Aniston ‘Pregnant and Alone!’

Jennifer Aniston is “Pregnant and Alone!” claims the new OK! cover story.

Given the tab’s track record, this is hilarious.

OK!, of course, is the same magazine that falsely claimed Aniston was having twins back in February.

That was a total fabrication.

In March, the tabloid wrongly reported that Aniston and Justin Theroux were “finally married!”

That was completely made up.

Last week, the mag pretended it had never published that other stuff, instead alleging that Theroux had supposedly “crushed” Aniston’s dreams for a “winter getaway” wedding.

That was 100 percent untrue, as no such plan ever existed.

But since OK! apparently loves to bask in the actress’ purported misery, the magazine went truly overboard with this week’s installment of fantasy Aniston tales.

According to the tab, things became so “toxic” between Aniston and Theroux, the couple has taken a “break.”

“Jen’s life lies in ruins,” a so-called “close friend” tells the outlet. “The wedding’s canceled, her man’s nowhere to be seen. Friends are worried that Jen’s closed off from everyone, and that she is dealing with a pregnancy, abandoned and alone.”

That’s quite an assessment, except Aniston is (1) not pregnant, and (2) not separated from Theroux.

But the OK! source is concerned.

“Her pals are desperately worried over what the future lies for her and Justin’s unborn child,” says the supposed friend, using completely (cough) natural language. “The last thing anyone wants is for her to be facing a life as a single mom.”

OK! goes on and on… and on… to describe Aniston’s allegedly fragile friendship with Courteney Cox, how Theroux is “not the marrying kind,” and an alleged “professional rivalry” between the two Hollywood stars.

But allow Gossip Cop to cut through the nonsense: OK! spent months spreading false rumors about the couple getting married and having a baby.

Neither scenario came true, and OK! is desperately trying to sneak away from its previous pronouncements.

A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop the tab’s latest cover story is “laughable” and “false.”

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux Call Off Wedding, Says Mag

Jennifer Aniston’s wedding dreams have been “crushed” by fiancé Justin Theroux, reports a new cover story from OK!, which claims the pair have called their supposed “winter getaway” nuptials.

Well, that’s odd, considering the tabloid reported in March that the couple had already secretly married.

Regardless, a so-called “insider” tells the magazine, “Suddenly, all talk of marriage has [halted.] At the start of the year, Jen was saying how they were going to slip away and get married quietly, then they’d throw a bash when the renovations were done on their $22 million Bel Air, California house.”

The purported source says, “She’s devastated about it and has told friends it was the most difficult decision she’s ever made.”

So what allegedly happened?

OK! says Theroux’s new starring gig in HBO’s “The Leftovers” has caused the pair to postpone their nuptials indefinitely.

Another so-called “pal” claims, “When Justin sat Jen down and told her he’d been offered the job but it meant delaying the wedding, she was terribly upset, but the last thing she wants is for him to turn around in five years and blame her for getting in the way of his career.”

The tab goes on to report that the couple is also having relationship problems, quoting the “friend” as saying, “It bugs her how he’ll eat things in the fridge that she wanted!”

Yes, because rich people never can seem to keep food in the fridge.

Please.

This story is simply ridiculous.

Aniston and Theroux were NEVER having a “winter getaway” wedding in the first place, and the fact that he’s going to star in a new show would not derail any marriage plans.

OK! has run so many false reports about the duo’s impending wedding that the mag can’t even keep all of its contradictory tales straight.

In any case, Gossip Cop checked in with a close Theroux insider, who tells us, “Nothing is called off.”
