Julie Chen is speaking out about the competition — and she doesn’t think “The View” and Jenny McCarthy are a good fit.

“The Talk” host first made waves during an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show,” when she agreed with the host’s assessment that it was a “mistake” for “The View” to hire McCarthy.

Chen then clarified her remarks to “Extra,” explaining that “The View” used to be a show where “women from different walks of life discuss politics.”

“Now with Jenny there, it seems like they don’t know what to do with her talent, and the show has lost its way,” said Chen.

VIDEO: Julie Chen Slams Nose Job Rumor, Shows How Makeup Changes Her Face

Julie Chen has NOT had a nose job or any other plastic surgery — beyond the work done on her eyes when she was told in her twenties that she needed to look less “Chinese” to have a career in television.

“I do not have cheek implants… I did not have chin surgery, I did not have a nose job,” Chen told “The Talk” viewers this week, addressing rumors that had cropped up regarding her appearance.

To prove her point, Chen then showed a picture of her younger self and a current photo of herself without makeup, along with a time-lapse video of her daily makeup routine to demonstrate how much it changes her face.

Julie Chen: I Had Plastic Surgery on Eyes to Look Less “Chinese” (VIDEO)

Julie Chen opened up about her past decision to have plastic surgery on Wednesday’s edition of “The Talk.”

The host discussed how, as a young news reporter, she was told that she could never sit at the anchor desk “because you’re Chinese.”

Chen recounted how an agent later reiterated that she’d only be able to advance in her career if she underwent a cosmetic procedure “to make your eyes look bigger.”

She became emotional as she recalled how her parents ultimately supported her difficult choice to change her face in order to move up the ladder.
