Juan Pablo Galavis of “The Bachelor” says he is opposed to gays being on the show in new comments that could lead to controversy.

Speaking with a reporter for The TV Page at an event on Friday, the hunky star was asked, “Do you think it would be a good idea at some point to have a gay or bisexual ‘Bachelor’?”

Galavis quickly responded, “No.”

Why not?

“I respect them… but, honestly, I don’t think it’s a good example for kids to watch that on TV,” explained Galavis, who then reiterated that he doesn’t have an issue with gay relationships.

He continued, “But obviously, people have their husband and wife and kids and that is how we are brought up. Now there [are] fathers having kids and all that, and it is hard for me to understand that too in the sense of a household having… two parents sleeping in the same bed and the kid going into bed… It is confusing in a sense.”

Galavis asked, “Where is the thin line to cross or not?”

“It would be too hard for TV,” he explained. “Too much, too much.”

Then he dropped this explanation: “There’s this thing about gay people… it seems to me, and I don’t know if I’m mistaken or not… they’re more pervert in a sense… and to me the show will be too strong, too hard to watch on TV.”

Juan Pablo Galavis is mocking Us Weekly for the magazine’s “Exes Tell All” cover story about “The Bachelor” star.

The tabloid published a photo of the soccer player’s baby mama Carla Rodriguez on its cover (see below), which teases, “Ex-girlfriends dish about dating ‘playboy’ Juan Pablo, his wandering eye and why he’ll never settle for one woman.”

Inside the mag, however, Us Weekly doesn’t quote his daughter Camila’s mother, but “sources” who allegedly once dated the reality star.

Galavis poked fun at the story on Thursday, tweeting a photo of himself and Rodriguez reading the issue (see right), along with the caption, “Camila’s MOM and I ENJOYING the ARTICLE of @usweekly.”

He added in another tweet, “According to @usweekly I am El Bachelor BACHATERO,” which means “The Playboy Bachelor” in Spanish.

It’s only episode two of “The Bachelor,” and the one of the women already wants Juan Pablo to “die.”

But we’ll get to that in time.

The show began with Juan Pablo blindfolding Clare and taking her sledding — in Los Angeles.

Clare told the camera, “I haven’t felt this alive because of a man in a long, long time… This is the beginning of our love story.”

Later, Juan Pablo gave her a rose, and the pair made out in the hot tub.

They continued kissing while singer Josh Kravitz performed a concert for them in the snow.

It was all very natural.

The next date card went to Kat.

Juan Pablo took her on the private jet to Salt Lake City, where they dressed in neon and raved in an “Electric Run.”

The pair had a great time dancing together, and he gave her a rose.

Next was the group date, where Juan Pablo got cozy with 13 of the ladies — and some dogs — during a charity photo shoot.

The girls posed with Juan Pablo and puppies to benefit “Models n Mutts,” an organization that helps animals in need.

Elise got upset when she was given a cardboard sign to wear instead of an outfit, so Lucy, the “free spirit,” switched with her and walked down the streets of L.A. completely naked — with a dog.

Andi also didn’t want to wear the cardboard sign, but Juan Pablo said he would do it with her, so she agreed.

After the shoot, the group had cocktails by a rooftop pool, and the real drama began.

Victoria got wasted and proceeded to go in the hot tub alone and declare, “Juan Pablo is my boyfriend.”

She then interrupted the Bachelor’s one-on-one time with Nikki. When he didn’t leave Nikki, she snuck into the bathroom and balled her eyes out because she hadn’t yet had alone time with Juan Pablo.

Victoria screamed, “I hope he dies!” and drunkenly fought with the producers about going home.

When Juan Pablo tried to talk to her in the bathroom, she said, “No! No!”

Later, he gave the group date rose to Kelly for her good work during the photo shoot.

The following day, Juan Pablo visited Victoria in the hotel producers escorted her to, and she sort of apologized for her behavior.

He was extremely understanding, but sent her home because she was not the right role model for his daughter.

Before the final rose ceremony, Cassandra broke down to Juan Pablo about missing her son at home.

He comforted her, then gave her the first rose during the ceremony.

So, who was eliminated?

Amy L., the reporter who interviewed him during their one-on-one time, and Chantel.
