Josh Hutcherson “made a play” for Lily Collins at the Spare Room in Los Angeles earlier this week, claims Showbiz Spy.

The outlet bases its report on a New York Post item that cites a “source” as saying, “Josh couldn’t take his eyes off of her. She couldn’t have cared less until he made a move and invited Lily to join him bowling.”

But Gossip Cop has learned that there’s nothing romantic going on between the two stars, despite the rumors.

Collins and Zac Efron were reportedly spotted holding hands at Disneyland last month.

Josh Hutcherson Tells Seventeen About Dating, Breakups and Jennifer Lawrence

Truth rating: 10

(Cliff Watts for Seventeen)

Josh Hutcherson tells Seventeen about falling in love and having his heart broken.

“I think getting broken up with is worse than breaking up with somebody,” the Catching Fire star explains to the magazine. “For me it hurts more when you’re ready for something to keep going and the other person isn’t.”

Has Hutcherson ever dated girls with the wrong intentions?

The actor answers, “Definitely. I was blind at first by looks, by love, whatever. I’ve been known to fall hard and quick for girls, which I think is better than not falling at all.”

And he has his share of platonic female friends, too.

“I think the most important thing is being upfront about what the relationship is,” says Hutcherson. “If I just want to be friends with a girl, I’ll establish that early on by talking about other girls, so she knows that I’m not interested in her like that.”

Is his most famous female pal — co-star Jennifer Lawrence — funnier on set than Hutcherson?

“We have this debate all the time — I think it’s me!” he tells Seventeen. “This sounds mean, but its true, and Jennifer would agree. Her thing is being shocking, goofy, and silly — which is amazing, and it takes a talented person to do that. I like to be more clever and witty. But if you had to go on who gets more laughs, I’d say she’d be the winner.”
