Hollywood is taking to Twitter to mourn the loss of legendary comedic actor Jonathan Winters, who passed away on Thursday night at 87.

Jonathan Winters Dead at 87

Jonathan Winters, the legendary comic and actor, has died.

He was 87.

Winters died of natural causes on Thursday night at his home, a family friend confirms.

An innovative comedian and improvisational wizard, Winters was a TV and film fixture for decades, appearing regularly on Johnny Carson’s “Tonight Show” and other series, including his own short-lived show.

He appeared in movies like It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and starred on the final season of “Mork & Mindy.”
