Jon Hamm Mocks National Enquirer For Exaggerating Throat Problem (VIDEO)

Jon Hamm says he’s feeling just fine, despite a recent National Enquirer story claiming he was facing a serious health crisis.

The “Mad Men” star appeared on Wednesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” telling the host, “I’ve got a polyp on my vocal cord, which sounds worse than it is.”

Hamm added, “Although, it doesn’t sound as bad as how the National Enquirer reported it, which was that I was coughing up blood and probably have cancer.”

Later in the show, the actor confessed he didn’t know how “Mad Men” will end in 2015, which he’s fine with because, “We don’t know how our lives are going to end. I, apparently, will die of cancer, according to The National Enquirer — soon.”

Amy Poehler and Jon Hamm Throw Party for Emmy Losers, Raise Money for Charity

Amy Poehler and Jon Hamm’s Emmy losses are the Worldwide Orphans charity’s gains.

The stars, who have been nominated several times in recent years only to lose at each ceremony, threw a party for fellow Emmy losers on Sunday night, with proceeds going to a good cause.

Poehler and Hamm — who each lost again this year for Lead Actress in a Comedy and Lead Actor in a Drama, respectively — invited their fellow attendees to a bash at Hollywood’s SoHo House.

The catch: Emmy statues were not allowed, and any winners who wanted to partake had to donate $1,000 each to Worldwide Orphans.

With some losers ponying up as well, Poehler and Hamm raised $30,000.

Not too shabby.

Jon Hamm to Undergo Surgery for Polyp on Vocal Chord

Jon Hamm is set to undergo surgery for a polyp on his vocal cord, Gossip Cop confirms.

The “Mad Men” star will have a routine outpatient procedure, and is expected to make a full, quick recovery.

We’re told that reports claiming Hamm is in a dire health crisis are greatly exaggerated.

“He has NEVER coughed up blood,” says our insider, shooting down a widely-spread, but FALSE claim.

Adds our rock-solid source, “He only has one (singular) polyp, and it is NOT cancerous at all.”
