Emile Hirsch to Play John Belushi in Biopic

Emile Hirsch will play John Belushi in an upcoming movie about the late actor-comedian, it was announced on Monday.
The film will focus both on Belushi’s career success — having starred in Blues Brothers, Animal House, and on “Saturday Night Live” — and his shocking death from drugs in 1982.
Belushi was just 33 when he was found dead at the Chateau Marmont.
The movie, currently untitled, is based on the book Belushi, which was co-written by the star’s wife, Judith.
Belushi’s close friend and co-star Dan Ackroyd is executive producing.
Production is slated to begin in the spring.
