Demi Lovato — and her older sister Dallas — have responded to Joe Jonas tell-all essay for New York magazine, in which he opened up dating the singer shortly before she went to rehab and smoking pot for the first time with her and Miley Cyrus.

In his piece, Jonas wrote about Lovato’s “insane situation” back in 2010, saying, “I really got to know her and got to see the ins and outs of what she was struggling with, like drug abuse.”

The boy bander shared, “I felt like I needed to take care of her, but at the same time I was living a lie, because I wasn’t happy but felt like I had to stay in it for her, because she needed help.”

“I couldn’t express any of that, of course, because I had a brand to protect,” he added.

On Monday night, Lovato responded to Jonas’ essay on Twitter, writing, “@joejonas love you brother. #family/friendsforever.”

But her sister Dallas, on the other hand, was not happy with the Jonas Brother discussing her sister’s personal life.

Dallas tweeted, “Pathetic how people cut others down to get attention off themselves.. Loser.”

What do you think of Demi and Dallas’ opposite responses to Jonas?

TAB: Jonas Brothers Split Because of Joe’s Girlfriend Blanda Eggenschwiler

Truth rating: 0

Star magazine claims the real reason the Jonas Brothers broke up was because of Blanda Eggenschwiler.

According to the tabloid, brothers Kevin and Nick “are blaming Joe’s downward spiral on the bad influence of his girlfriend… and they want her gone.”

A so-called “insider” for the magazine is quoted as saying, “She rubs them the wrong way.”

Very interesting… but entirely WRONG.

On Wednesday, the brothers discussed the band splitting up on “Good Morning America,” and noted they wanted to pursue “individual things,” including working on music for themselves, acting, and focusing on the “business side” of the entertainment industry.

Eggenschwiler was never mentioned.

Still, Gossip Cop checked into the story with a source close to the brothers and was told the Star tale is “entirely untrue.”

Jonas Brothers Reveal Why They Split and Their Futures on GMA

Truth rating: 10

The Jonas Brothers discussed their decision to break up on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the band announced on Tuesday that they were splitting “for now” after a “unanimous decision.”

Now they’re explaining why.

Kevin told “GMA” anchor Robin Roberts, “it was time,” to which Nick stressed, “We’re family first.”

Nick added splitting up was a “tough conversation,” but they all decided they were “best suited to do our own individual things.”

Joe said they all felt their music was getting “stale” and wanted to pursue “personal opportunities.”

For Kevin, he’s going to focus on the “business side” of the entertainment industry, while Nick wants to work on music for himself and other artists as well as do more theater.

Joe also noted he’s going to work on his own music and do more acting.

So, what will happen to the album they were working own?

Kevin said it will never be released, but they will still put out four songs they had already recorded.

As for whether the breakup is forever, Nick said there’s always a chance they’d reunite.

Goss Cop will add video shortly.
