Teresa and Joe Giudice pleaded not guilty to federal fraud charges on Wednesday.

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” couple appeared in U.S. District Court in Newark for a five-minute proceeding, during which their attorneys formally entered the pleas.

A trial date has been set for October 8.

Last month, the Giudices were hit with a 39-count indictment, accused of crimes including bankruptcy fraud, bank fraud, conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and making false statements on loan applications.

They also allegedly manipulated financial records to exaggerate or hide their wealth at various points in time.

If they’re found guilty of the most serious charges, the Giudices could face up to 30 years in prison.
