Jimmy Kimmel took his “Lie Witness News” segment to Coachella last weekend, where he had a correspondent ask festival-goers their opinions on bands that do not exist.

The “Live” host told the audience in his opening monologue, “Music fans love knowing about bands that no one else has heard of… so we sent a camera crew to Coachella, and we asked people walking into the venue what they thought about a bunch of bands whose names we made up.”

In the clip, the reporter talked to concert-goers about fake bands such as Dr. Shlomo and the G.I. Clinic, The Chelsea Clintons and Get The F**k Out of My Pool.

The correspondent threw in one real band name — Two Door Cinema Club — just to make it legit.

Craig Ferguson, Conan O’Brien, and Jimmy Kimmel all aired new episodes of their late-night talk shows on Monday, taping just hours after the Boston Marathon bombings.

“Tonight’s show is a little bit different,” said Ferguson, who opened his broadcast with a short, emotional reflection on the day’s horrifying events.

O’Brien, who hails from Boston, also mentioned the news:

I just wanted to take a moment to say that – like everyone here – my thoughts and prayers are with the people of Boston and everyone who has been affected by this senseless act.  That said — it is our job to do a show. We’re going to try and entertain you the best we can. Which,  given our track record, gives you people a 20% chance of having a good time tonight.

Kimmel echoed those sentiments:

Well – it was a terrible day. Very bad things happened today for no good reason – and our thoughts are with the people of Boston and everyone who is suffering as a result of the bombings at the marathon. It’s a disgusting thing. I don’t understand it. But my job is to make you laugh and so I will try to do that. And – I will probably fail. I’m failing already.
