James Franco got roasted by celebrity friends for a Comedy Central special taped on Sunday night, with comedians such as Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari and Jonah Hill making fun of the actor about gay rumors, his Oscar hosting performance and more.

Other guests including Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Sarah Silverman, Nick Kroll and Jeffrey Ross all traded barbs with one another when they weren’t dissing Franco.

The show airs on Comedy Central on September 2.

James Franco will be the next Comedy Central roast victim.

The actor-writer-director announced the news on Instagram late Tuesday.

“Hey y’all, what’s up?” mumbled Franco. “I’m gonna get roasted on Comedy Central. Be sure to check it out. They wanted me to tell you that — alright, hahaha.”

The comedy network confirmed the booking early Wednesday, tweeting, “The announcement of @JamesFrancoTV ‘s @ComedyCentral Roast was not a drunk tweet or a dream. It is happening! #FrancoRoast.”

Franco follows recent roast honorees like Roseanne Barr and Charlie Sheen.
