Angelina Jolie has scored a victory in her In The Land of Blood and Honey copyright infringement lawsuit.

Before the movie’s release in 2011, Croatian author James Braddock alleged the actress took from his novel “The Soul Shattering” to create her directorial debut about a love affair during the Bosnian War.

On Friday, a judge ruled that the two works were not sufficiently similar to prove that Jolie violated the copyright.

Braddock had claimed Braddock he met with Edin Sarkic, a producer on Jolie’s movie, several times to discuss adapting his 2007 book on the war before the movie star and Sarkic developed their own version.

Jolie is next set to direct Unbroken, the incredible true story of Louis Zamperini, the U.S. Olympic athlete who later survived a World War II plane crash and a horrifying stint as a prisoner of war in Japan.
