Beyoncé has destroyed several iTunes sales records in the wake of releasing her surprise album on Friday.
The album, which is currently only available through the online music provider, has sold a whopping 617,213 copies in America, breaking the platform’s first-week U.S. sales record.
That’s significantly more than the 465,000 units sold of the previous title-holder, Taylor Swift’s 2012 album Red.
Both figures, however, pale in comparison to Beyoncé’s global iTunes debut — a record-breaking 828,773 copies have been purchased in just three days.
That makes it iTunes fastest-selling album ever.
And the album now ranks number one in 104 countries, says Apple.
Not surprisingly, the album is also expected to debut in the top spot on the Billboard 200, becoming Beyoncé’s fifth number one album.
