Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder may have broken up, but they still share a mutual love of the actor’s dog, Nietzsche.

On Tuesday, the exes reunited in Atlanta to help Nietzshe give birth to eight adorable puppies.

Somerhalder shared a photo of his dog on Twitter, writing, “Live from the whelping box In Atlanta! Panting, pushing, contractions.”

Dobrev later posted a pic of the mom with her new puppies, captioning the shot, “Birthing little Nietzsches… Such a beautiful + equally terrifying thing to witness… The miracle of life 🙂 #Wow.”

The pair, who’s in Atlanta to film the new season of “The Vampire Diaries,” have remained on friendly terms since their split last spring.

Ian Somerhalder may no longer be dating Nina Dobrev — but that doesn’t mean he can’t say sweet things about his ex.

On Monday, the “Vampire Diaries” actor spotted Dobrev’s Cosmopolitan cover and sounded very excited.

He posted a picture on Instagram (see below) and wrote, “In a store this morning-who do I see? The one&only @ninadobrev These things are almost gone so If you haven’t gotten this magazine off of a shelf-get one. One word: Stunning… Congrats Nina! Xo Ian.”

Aww!

Of course, it helps that the two stars are still on good terms — since they have to work together.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev reunited onstage on Thursday at the CW Upfront.

The former couple, who recently broke up after dating for three years, joined the CW’s president Mark Pedowitz for the announcement of the network’s fall schedule.

Although Somerhalder and Dobrev didn’t walk the event’s red carpet together, they did briefly speak to each other at the end of the network’s presentation when a few of the CW’s stars came back on stage.

A source tells Gossip Cop, “They were talking, but it didn’t look anything more than cordial.”

After news emerged about the pair’s breakup, Somerhald cryptically tweeted, “People change and forget to tell each other.”

The season finale of “Vampire Diaries” airs on Thursday.
