Gia Allemand’s Mom: I “Refute” All Theories On My Daughter’s Suicide

11:15 am, August 16th, 2013

(New York Daily News)

Gia Allemands mother is speaking out against certain acquaintances of her daughter’s who are seemingly trying to profit off her suicide.

On Thursday, Playboy model Loredana Ferriolo told the New York Daily News that Allemand “sounded stuffy” the night before she hanged herself.

Ferriolo claimed to the paper, “Either she was crying or she had a cold. I asked her and she paused and said, ‘Yeah, I have a cold.’ I thought she was crying. But she insisted it was a cold.”

The model further alleged that Allemand “hated” living in New Orleans, and was desperate to move back to New York.

But Allemand’s mother Donna Micheletti tells Gossip Cop she feels Ferriolo is NOT a trusted source to speak on behalf of her daughter.

Micheletti says, “Gia expressed directly to me that she did not trust [Ferriolo] and her motives for her own public exposure.”

Allemand’s mom further tells us, “The family and close friends of Gia Allemand have not spoken to the media to date, nor have they posted comments or insight on Twitter.”

Micheletti adds, “I am personally going on record to refute all statements to the media out there thus far with the exception of official statements we have released.”

Gia Allemand Mom Statement:

“The family and close friends of Gia Allemand have not spoken to the media to date, nor have they posted comments or insight on Twitter. There are numerous statements and theories in the media regarding Gia’s death and her life that refer to sources close to Gia or friends of hers. As her mother, I am well aware of Gia’s close friends and her best friends and I am personally going on record to refute all statements to the media out there thus far with the exception of official statements we have released through publicist Penelope Jean Hayes, and those jointly with Ryan Anderson’s NBA team representation. Gia liked everyone and always found the good in people, however there were acquaintances that she had disassociated with whom are now speaking as her close friends. I don’t like to give further publicity by mentioning names here, however there is a particular individual, Loredana Ferriolo, identifying herself as Gia’s best friend and the fact is that Gia expressed directly to me that she did not trust this individual and her motives for her own public exposure. After the funeral, I do intend to speak about my dear daughter’s life and death, and will do so in an open disclosure way with a trusted media source. Thank you for all those truly concerned and God bless.”

EXCLUSIVE

(RadarOnline)

Gia Allemand died of a suicide attempt on Wednesday, and now some blogs are shamelessly trying to create more drama out of the “Bachelor” star’s tragic death.

RadarOnline posted a story on Thursday claiming the reality alum was “upset” that her boyfriend Ryan Anderson “hadn’t proposed to her yet.”

The webloid alleges that the couple “got into their first blowout fight while in Las Vegas together at the end of July which had the former ‘Bachelor Pad’ star worrying the relationship wasn’t headed to the alter.”

The insensitive report was picked up by the equally sensationalized HollywoodLife.

But the story is NOT accurate.

A rep for Allemand tells Gossip Cop exclusively that the blog’s report is “false,” saying, “Gia Allemand and Ryan Anderson loved each other deeply.”

The star’s spokesperson adds, “The reasons for a young woman to take her own life can not be explained or placed on one situation. Depression is a sad disease and it kills.”

Ryan Anderson is mourning the loss of his girlfriend, Gia Allemand.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the “Bachelor” and “Bachelor Pad” alum was removed from life support on Wednesday, two days after attempting suicide.

Anderson, who plays basketball for the New Orleans Pelicans, found Allemand hanging in her home.

In a statement, the NBA player says:

“I’m deeply grateful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends and fans. Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile. She had such an amazing impact on my life and anyone that knew her was blessed. All I have left is to cherish those memories we made together and help perpetuate the many values, faith and love that we shared.”

Allemand was 29.
