Matthew Perry and Lisa Kudrow agree: If they could turn back the clock and keep “Friends” going past its series finale a decade ago, they would do it.

The two stars talked about their nostalgia for the show when Perry recently guest hosted “Piers Morgan Tonight.”

Perry told Kudrow that he’d said in an interview, “If I had a time machine, I would like to go back to 2004 and not have stopped.”

She concurred.

“If it were up to us, like individually… Oh, I would keep going,” said Kudrow. “There would have come a time anyway when someone would have said, ‘We’ve had enough.’ But why not have fun until they do?”

Jennifer Aniston had no idea about the rampant “Friends” reunion rumor until getting clued in by Ellen DeGeneres.

In an interview slated to air on the talk show Thursday, Aniston is totally surprised when DeGeneres mentions the supposed project.

“Did Matthey Perry start that?” quips the actress.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the rumor was actually sparked by a false story that claimed NBC had “confirmed” there’d be a new season of the hit series.

It’s NOT true, but find out just why Aniston thinks Perry is responsible in the video below!

Friends Reunion NOT Happening: Producer

Truth rating: 10

12:01 pm, April 17th, 2013

(NBC)

Sorry, “Friends” fans — a reunion is NOT in the works.

After rumors swirled earlier this week following a false report claiming that NBC had “confirmed” the hit series would be returning for a new season nearly nine years after its finale, fans were left wondering if the news could possibly, finally, be true.

It isn’t, and now “Friends” co-creator Marta Kauffman is explaining why Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc won’t be revisiting their famous past.

“I’m going to clear this up — it’s not happening!” Kauffman unequivocally told E! News on Wednesday, hours after the reunion rumors hit their peak.

She went on to explain, “‘Friends’ was about that time in your life when your friends are your family and once you have a family, there’s no need anymore.”

Are you disappointed there won’t be a “Friends” reunion?
