Who Will Replace Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey in Fifty Shades Movie?

The news that Charlie Hunnam dropped out of Fifty Shades of Grey rocked Hollywood over the weekend, and fans immediately began speculating about who will replace the actor as sexy billionaire Christian Grey in the erotic movie.

Before (and after) last month’s announcements that Hunnam and Dakota Johnson would play the leads, there was plenty of buzz around names like Matt Bomer (see right),  Ian Somerhalder, and Robert Pattinson.

Who should get the role now?

Charlie Hunnam QUITS Fifty Shades of Grey

Charlie Hunnam has dropped out of Fifty Shades of Grey.

“The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey,” Universal Pictures said in a statement on Saturday.

The actor had been announced as Christian Grey last month.

Hunnam stars on the TV series “Sons of Anarchy.”

Dakota Johnson is set to play Anastasia Steele.

The audition process for the starring roles in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie was spoofed on “Saturday Night Live.”

In a “lost auditions tape” for the upcoming highly sex charged film, cast members did their best impressions of different stars considered for the parts of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

Those paired up for the lead roles were Seth Rogen and Emma Stone, Scarlett Johansson and Christoph Waltz, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Kristen Stewart, Steve Harvey and Rebel Wilson, and Mary Louise Parker and Aziz Ansari, among others.
