Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Set to Divorce?

(National Enquirer)

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are set for a $135 million divorce, according to a new, completely false National Enquirer cover story.

The tabloid, which has targeted the couple for years and recently fabricated a rumor about Hill worrying about the “sexual chemistry” between McGraw and Taylor Swift, now claims the country stars’ 16-year marriage has hit “rock bottom amid furious clashes and suspected infidelities.”

According to the Enquirer, “the couple’s life has turned into a battlefield, and now Tim is threatening to walk for good.”

The magazine claims to have “uncovered the sensational details of the conflict that’s left the superstar couple’s marriage and their $135 million empire hanging by a thread.”

But there are no “details.”

Just speculation — the Enquirer’s preferred tool.

Various anonymous insiders provide the tabloid with lots of quotes portraying Hill and McGraw as jealous and perpetually fighting over perceived flirtations.

But when it comes to ACTUAL EVIDENCE that there are any issues in the marriage, or that the couple is on the verge of splitting, the Enquirer falls flat.

There are no reported meetings with divorce lawyers, no specific evidence of cheating, no indication of a timetable for a breakup… nothing.

Instead, the Enquirer cops out, ending its piece with a pathetic “insider” quote: “Faith thinks she has Tim under her thumb, but she may be in for a big surprise!”

The surprise would be the tabloid doing some fact checking.

When Gossip Cop asked, a rep for Hill scoffed at the latest Enquirer report.
