Kim Kardashian: Kanye West and I “Live Different Lives”

11:33 am, May 13th, 2013

(Fabulous)

The Kardashians cover the new issue of Fabulous, and open up about life in the spotlight.

Kim tells the mag, “I’m definitely more of a recluse since I was pregnant. But I haven’t necessarily decided to hold myself back, it’s just preparing myself for respecting the privacy of my child and my boyfriend [Kanye West].”

While noting that she and West “live different lives,” she adds, “But I love being open. That’s who I’ve always been and sharing so much of myself – I love that. That’ll never change because that is who I am. It’s more about gearing up to protect other people.”

And that baby will need some protecting from Hollywood’s harsh glare.

“It does worry me when I think about it,” says Kim. “But, at the same time, my little sisters have grown up so amazingly, with really good heads on their shoulders.”

Kourtney and Khloe reveal their own struggles with fame, with Kourtney admitting she was “reluctant” to start their now-infamous reality show.

“I think I was just being a protective older sibling,” she explains. “I didn’t know how things would be edited.”

Adds Khloe, “Me and Kourt were kind of blindsided. Mom [Kris Jenner] and Kim knew what was going on and it all happened so fast.”

In hindsight, though, Khloe says, “I think if we’d had time to analyze it, we would have thought about it too much and wouldn’t have been able to be ourselves.”

“I forget that I do these things. I go to the gynecologist and they’re filming and I don’t even think about it,” she says. ”We’ve had the same camera crew since day one and we’re so comfortable with them, they’re like family.”

Jennifer Lawrence: My Family Won’t “Let Me Turn Into an A**hole”

9:40 pm, March 28th, 2013

(Fabulous)

Jennifer Lawrence credits her family for her down-to-earth persona in a new interview with Fabulous.

The Oscar winner opens up to the UK magazine, revealing that her upbringing has inspired her approach to celebrity and fame.

“I just constantly feel so lucky, that I don’t really have time to feel cocky,” says Lawrence, noting, “I was raised to have value for money, to have respect for money, even though you have a lot of it.”

And while the Silver Linings Playbook star does indeed “have a lot of it” these days, that doesn’t mean she’s a big spender, admitting that she just can’t justify spending $6 for a mini-bar Snickers.

“I still drive my same car I’ve been driving for a long time and I haven’t bought a house yet,” Lawrence admits.

She adds, “My family is not the kind of family that would ever let me turn into an a**hole or anything like that, so I am fortunate to have them.”

The same goes for Lawrence’s non-celeb pals, who says she’s “more comfortable with” than those who might might be befriending her for the wrong reasons.

“There is kind of a sadness that happens when you look into someone’s eyes and you realize that they’re looking at you a certain way, like you are not really you,” she tells the mag.

“I don’t ever walk around feeling famous. I walk around feeling the exact same way I have walked around my entire life,” says Lawrence, ”but it’s not until I talk to somebody and see in their eyes that I’m different. It makes me feel weird.”
