Emma Watson The Bling Ring

Emma Watson says she partially modeled her Bling Ring character off of the the reality stars in “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and “The Hills.”
Speaking to the press at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, the actress revealed she some interesting research for her portrayal of Los Angeles teenager Nicki, who is loosely based on real-life “Burglar Bunch” member Alexis Neiers.
Watson reportedly shared, “I watched a lot of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ and ‘The Hills,’ and I tried to understand the psychology of this kind of girl as much as possible.”

The star went on to note, “I didn’t want her to be just a parody. The accent was hard as it was a particular kind of dialect,” adding, “I also thought a lot about what her parents must have been like.”
This isn’t the first time an actress has compared her movie role to “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
